LYLA is a remarkable fine dining establishment located in an historic Georgian townhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland. LYLA, the latest addition to Chef Stuart Ralston’s culinary portfolio, celebrates seafood and using sustainable shellfish from the Scottish Isles and organic produce from trusted UK farms.
Our Key Contributions
Our brief was to source and create bespoke front-of-house pieces given no more than an architectural design rendering. The collection had to harmonise with LYLA’S sophisticated elegance whilst enhancing the overall dining experience. Working closely with Stuart, we incorporated visually striking pieces with unique glazes and muted colours to create a cohesive, yet varied table setting.
Materials were selected for not only their beauty, but for their durability in order to meet the demands of LYLA’S dynamic dining environment. One of these demands was for a bespoke tray stand to naturally blend with LYLA’S creative vision whilst serving as an integral piece of dining room furniture.
We worked to tight deadlines, providing consistent updates to both LYLA’S team and our makers to ensure that timelines were adhered to and key dates were met. Our work with Stuart and LYLA continues along with his other projects in Edinburgh; Noto, Tipo and Aizle.
